- Officer to David: "Do you speak English?" - due to David's French passport.
- David: "Uh... Ya!"Officer: "What's your purpose in the United State of America?"
- Sabrina: "I study here. In University of Rhode Island."
- Officer: "Oh, very good school. Your I-20, please?" "and you, sir?" to David.
- David: "She is my girlfriend, and I am visiting her for a week."
- Officer: "Where did you guys meet?"
- David and Sabrina: " In Germany".
- Officer: "uhh..." - with a really weird look on his face - "then I'll meet you both at the office. Please park your car on the right."

Yes, that's right. That's how unexpected our relationship is. A French guy and a Taiwanese girl met and fell in love in Germany.

Love in Germany

This is how everything started.

It was an ordinary day as a work student at SAP when an unexpected email popped up in my inbox. The subject of this email caught my attention. Someone was "looking for musicians".

I thought to myself "I don't play any instrument, but I can sing. I might as well give it a try."On one hand, my life was somewhat boring because I did not have a lot of friends, on the other hand, I was leaving Germany three months later and it sounded really cool to join a band in Europe, even if it were for just a few months.

After few emails back and forth, we started a band.A week later we finally got to arrange our first meeting at Bismarcktplatz (a main square in Heidelberg).

I will always remember that evening because what happened that night changed my life forever.I was on the tram, just arriving at Bismarckplatz, when I saw a cute guy from the window. He was waiting for someone. "He is probably waiting for his girlfriend,"I thought. I even walked pass him just so I could sneak a good look at him!

Surprisingly, he turned out to be the bassist of our band! The funny thing is, our band never got together, not even once, but David and I did!

Here we are, three years later, about to start our new life, a new journey, together.
